The media is making the race for Governor of California into a joke. As if the candidates were clowns, parading out of miniature vehicles to smack Americcan politics in the face with a cream pie. I don't even think Gary Coleman would parade out of a small automobile. These candidates are taking the race very seriously and campaigning with very serious issues, but no one is taking any of them seriously.

Larry Flint, founder of Hustler Magazine, has a plan to help the states economic problem: Legalizing gambling. Collect 35% of all gambling profits and he predicts that the state will have a surplus of $3,000,000,000 each year. Sure, there are moral issues on the subject, but it works. He has a legitimate proposal for a serious issue that has a chance of actually working. I saw a cartoon that had him in it saying "Porn�politics�same difference".. So people are seeing these candidates as brainless celebrities

Arnold Schwarzenegger - the most popular of these candidates - is taking most of the heat. People calling him a Nazi sympathizer and a steroid using music head foreigner with no business in politics. Even though he's a republican, I'd still vote for him. Besides rumours and lies, he has a very clean background. He's big with children and programs to keep children in activites instead of roaming the streets vandalizing property, smoking crack or stealing. He's like a Bob Hope or Tom Hanks kind of character. He's almost flawless with the nicest personality you can find. He's polite and caring and just wants to help people and make people happy. You can say that he has no business running for governor of California and neither do the rest of the candidates. But that' why this country was founded. I don't like getting into patriotic mumbo-jumbo, but that's why the Declaration of Independence was written. He has Constitutional rights that allow him to do this. If an Austrian body builder turned movie star wants to hold a political office, he should. Ronald Reagan did it. Reagan was in movies before he was the Governor of California. And he became president. Now of course Arnold can't become president because he wasn't born in the United States, but if he can be governor then why shouldn't he run?
