Many kids start bands and zines to try to help keep the so-called punk scene going. It’s a very commendable effort, but when one concentrates on their own personal life, it becomes dull and pointless. It’s not different than a little girl who outlets her emotions through a diary. Personal zines and emo bands are the cancer in the body of underground music and punk rock is the white blood cells. Since the 60’s and Vietnam the music and youth culture hasn’t done shit. Punk has come close but the majority of people are whiny and self-centered losers who complain about their personal problems or other “punk” kids. I say we should all smoke pot and fuck in the streets, flip over cop cars and set them on fire, start shitty, ultra-sloppy punk bands and blow up the White House.
