theKILLINGtree- Bury me at make-out creek (for Burnt Zine) For a band that used a Simpsons allusion for their EP's title, they play a style of music almost totally unrelated to America's favorite yellow family. Place equal amounts emo and hardcore in a mixing bowl, put them together, and you have the Killing Tree. Drawing heavily from the Nordic Invasion of Gluecifer and the Hellacopters, theKILLINGtree makes spastic blasts of metal, emo, hardcore, and rock mesh together to form something much better than its constituent parts. Another short CD, but with each of the tracks averaging out to be about 6 minutes a piece, there is a lot more material than with most typical EPs.
